Candice Lim Hing

(she/her)

bikram, blast, express, fusion, fusion +, pyropilates, vinyasa, yin

Candice started practicing yoga in 2003 but truly fell in love with the practice when it became a daily routine while she was travelling in India. Right away, she knew she had found something special. When she returned home she began practicing Bikram, took Bikram training less than 6 months later, and hasn’t stopped yet! She found the practice gave her clarity while challenging her body, mind and spirit and knew she wanted to share that with her community.

She opened the Yoga 360 studios because she’s so passionate about sharing her love of yoga with others. Her goal is to create a community that is healthy, positive and supportive. Yoga is for everyone regardless of their age, fitness levels, body types or goals, and Candice can’t wait to make you feel at home at our studio!

When she’s away from the studio, Candice enjoys travelling the world, hiking, and eating lots of yummy food. You’ll find her classes challenging yet energizing. She will help you recognize and work to your full potential so you can reap the benefits afterwards.

Mary Lim Hing

(she/her)

bikram, express

Mary started practicing Bikram after lots of persuasion from her eldest daughter Candice. She had developed carpal tunnel syndrome as well as high blood pressure and looked to Bikram to improve her health. Her first class changed everything; she found herself improving both on and off her mat even from day one and even completed a 30-day challenge. After seeing how the Bikram practice changed her for the better, she went to teacher training so she could help share those many benefits with others.

Away from the studio, you’ll find Mary in the kitchen cooking up something delicious. She loves to spend her free time working on all sorts of different cuisines. She always has a positive and nurturing energy in class. You can expect her to provide you with strong dialogue and lots of encouragement.

Alli started her yoga practice in her basement with a VHS tape and started seriously practicing in 2009 after completing University. A friend invited her to her very first class and she’s pretty sure she almost died, but it just made her want to come back for more! Alli loves to be challenged and finds that her yoga practice constantly presents her with new ways to grow and new goals to work towards. She finds that yoga has made her more herself and showed her who she actually was. It healed her body, mind and soul and she’s passionate about helping guide her students in the same direction.

Outside of the studio, you’ll often find Alli climbing a mountain or finding her next exciting adventure. In her classes you can expect energy, honesty and lots of information about anatomy.

Denine Hoffman

(she/her)

bikram, express, yin, yin yang

Denine took her first Bikram yoga class in 2008 and instantly knew she had found something special. Prior to that first class, she had worked out in gyms, taken group fitness classes, run half marathons and even tried other types of yoga. Nothing challenged and intrigued her like Bikram! She was almost instantly hooked. Within 2 months, she lost 20 pounds, was sleeping deeply and felt energized. She felt so good that she wanted to share her passion with others, so she became a teacher in Spring 2011.

When she’s not at the studio, Denine loves to travel, spend time with her family and enjoy a great glass of wine. She takes special joy in watching her students change and improve inside the hot room and is inspired by each and every one of them. In her class you can expect clear dialogue and an encouraging spirit. She aims to help you make your practice the very best it can be.

Esther Oh

(she/her)

bikram, blast, express, fusion, fusion +, pyropilates, yin

In 2005 Esther was working as an addictions & mental health clinician and part time fitness model. A close friend told her one simple thing: “Esther, you need yoga”. It was love at first sweat! Because of her background in social work and mental health she quickly realized the parallel paths of mental & physical healing that yoga offered. She felt her practice start to spark change within her and attended her first teacher training in 2006 so she could extend that gift to her clients and patients. She evolved from there to serve as staff and faculty for future teacher trainings, overseeing posture clinics and co-instructing CPR and First Aid certifications from 2008-2010 and now finds joy in teaching students at Yoga 360 and elsewhere around the world.

When Esther isn’t in the hot room you’ll probably still find her sweating. She loves to hike, play in the ocean and spend as much time as possible with her dog, John Bubba Wick. In her class you can expect an energetic practice with focus on precision, form and breath. Esther firmly believes that yoga is for every BODY and will work to help make your practice work for and will work to help make your practice work for YOU. Come to class with an open heart and open mind. Work hard, laugh, and the rest will take care of itself.

Karen Aney

(she/her)

Karen started practicing yoga in 2006 as a way to help cross train for her favourite sports, but didn’t start practicing seriously until a car accident left her with a debilitating back injury in 2015. She’s currently waiting for surgery for that same injury, and credits her yoga practice with maintaining her quality of life. Her doctors have confirmed what her body already knew; based on her injury, she should be in very rough shape. Yoga keeps her moving and has literally saved her over and over again.

Outside of the studio, you can find Karen reading, watching hockey or pursuing one of her many other hobbies or jobs. Because of her own injuries, Karen loves to help her students modify their practice to work for their bodies. She aims to create a safe space to heal both mentally and physically in every one of her classes.

Her practice has helped her grow stronger and more grounded, and she especially loves how the lessons she learns off her mat carry her through her day to day life.

(she/her)

bikram, express

Michelle started her Bikram yoga practice almost 20 years ago while she was a busy student studying Kinesiology at SFU. She took her first teacher training in 2004 and decided to take a year to travel and teach yoga. One year turned into 10, and she found herself in cities like Hong Kong, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Istanbul, Gothenburg, Brisbane, Sydney, and Christchurch. No matter where she travelled, no matter how many people and cultures she encountered, she found the same sense of familiarity and connection and loves to share that with her students.

In the time since her travels Michelle moved back to Canada and furthered her knowledge of the human body by becoming a Registered Massage Therapist. These days, she spends most of her time caring for her two young sons and teaching yoga. While teaching, Michelle hopes to guide you through your own journey of self discovery through a balance of movement and stillness.

Through teaching, Patrick has travelled to Japan, Germany, Korea, the USA and more. These days he loves to spend his free time with his young family. In 2019 Sarah completed her 200-hour teacher training so she could share the benefits of her practice with others.

You can usually find Sarah at the studio (or practicing from home) but when she’s off her mat she loves to volunteer with local environmental groups. She credits yoga with helping her to heal and manage a back injury which would otherwise change her quality of living. Yoga truly is her health insurance, and in 2017 she decided to take training so she could share the practice with others.

When Sno isn’t teaching or practicing, she values spending times with friends and family. She loves to hike, eat everything sinful and hop around the globe. Stefanie Downing

(she/her)

bikram, blast, express, pyropilates, vinyasa, yin, ying yang

When Stefanie began her practice in 2006, her only goal was to lose weight and stay fit. She focused on perfection in every class and every posture, and in the beginning didn’t realize that her practice had so much more to offer. Now, her practice is not just a way for her to stay fit and healthy in her body, but also stay grounded and focused in her mind and soul.

Stefanie is passionate about challenging her own body and that of her students. She teaches with joy in her heart and loves to laugh. Outside of Yoga 360, she also spends her time teaching yoga for recovery, addictions and healing trauma. She loves to spend time hiking, reading, hanging out with her family and playing her ukulele. Stephen Wong

(he/him)

bikram, express

Around Summer 2003, Stephen found himself working late night shifts, not exercising much and eating way too many late night meals. He knew something had to change, and thankfully he stumbled across a studio with an introductory promotion. He walked in, signed up, and never looked back.

Stephen still works some crazy hours, but finds himself better able to manage his lifestyle. Now that he knows how to flip upside down in the hot room, it’s easier to handle life when it gets flipped upside down too! He loves to focus on the small details in his own practice, and aims to help his students do the same. Stephen knows life can get a little crazy, so he will keep a close eye on your progress in class and fill your plate when you’re ready. He loves the small details and will help you focus on them in class.
