Candice Lim Hing
Bikram, Express, Fusion, Fusion +, PyroPilates, Vinyasa, Yin

Candice opened the Yoga 360 studios because she is passionate about sharing her love of yoga with others. She wanted to create a yoga community that is healthy, positive, and supportive. Candice believes that yoga is for everybody regardless of age, fitness levels, interests, experiences, body types or goals. She enjoys getting to know everyone and strives to make everyone feel welcome and at home at the studio.

After opening and running multiple studios (Langley, Maple Ridge, Surrey) since 2007, Candice is happy to find balance back in her personal life and to focus her energy on just the Surrey location now. She loves seeing students improve their bodies, strengthen their minds and realize their own potential. Our community of yogis keeps her inspired daily.

She enjoys travelling the world, hiking, and eating yummy food outside of yoga.

Candice’s classes are challenging, energetic, and rejuvenating. She encourages students to do their best with proper alignment, technique and discipline while adding some humour to keep her classes fun and light-hearted. She will help you work to your full potential so that you reap the benefits afterwards.

Mary

Mary was born in Hong Kong then raised in Manila, Philippines. In 1989, Mary and her husband decided to immigrate to Canada to give their four young children a better opportunity. Once in Canada, Mary was a homemaker and spent her free time cooking which quickly became a passion of hers. After developing carpal tunnel syndrome as well as high blood pressure and lots of persuasion from her eldest daughter Candice, Mary started practicing Bikram yoga to improve her health. That first yoga class changed everything for Mary. She found herself attending more and more classes with her health improving after each one. To her own surprise, Mary completed a 30-day challenge. After seeing how Bikram yoga changed everything for her, Mary went to teacher training so she could share the many benefits with others.

When Mary isn’t at the studio, she is probably in the kitchen cooking up something delicious. She loves to spend her free time working on all sorts of different cuisines.

Mary is always exuding a positive and nurturing energy in class. She keeps a strong dialogue and hopes to encourage everyone to try his or her best in class. Mary advises everyone to always keep on breathing and working hard.

Bikram, Express, Fusion+, Yin

Alison’s (B.Ed, B.Mus, E-YRT 500) initiation into the path of health and wellness ignited in 2003. Yoga breathed itself into her life in 2007. She fell in love. Yoga became a lifestyle and way of being, giving her the means to balance and bridge the extreme polarities felt within. Yoga is powerful medicine, providing the tools for healing, self-awareness, and transformation.

Alison’s journey into yoga lead her to travel internationally to study in the Ghosh Lineage, Yin, and now Ashtanga Vinyasa. She has taught yoga since 2008, locally across studios in BC and internationally in Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, and USA. Alison also serves as a secondary school Music teacher and director for the Vancouver School Board since 2012. Outside the yoga room, Alison has a passion for dance, nutrition, and travel.

Alison teaches with a functional approach applying yoga asanas for therapy, drawing a wealth experience from multi-disciplinary backgrounds. Students can expect precision in teaching and a warm motivational class climate. Denine Hoffman
Bikram, Express, Yin

Denine took her first Bikram Yoga class in 2008 and knew instantly that she had found something special. Previously, she had worked out in gyms, taken group fitness classes, tried other types of yoga, and even run a couple of half marathons but had never found anything that intrigued and challenged her like this class. She was almost instantly hooked and couldn't wait to get back in the hot room as soon as possible. Nothing had had exhausted yet energized Denine at the same time like Bikram did. Soon she saw other side effects; 20 pounds melted off in 2 months, she slept very deeply, and seemed to need less sleep in general. She began to crave healthier foods, less junk and more water.

It seemed a natural step to share her love of the yoga by becoming a teacher in Spring 2011. Denine continues to learn more about her own practice through teaching and hopes to share her love of Bikram Yoga with everyone. She loves seeing her students’ bodies change and the joy on their faces as they achieve great strides in the hot room. Denine is inspired everyday by each and every student and so grateful for this life she is living.

Denine provides clear dialogue with an encouraging spirit in her classes. She strives to help you make your practice the best it can be.

Esther Oh
Bikram, Express, Fusion, Fusion +, PyroPilates, Yin

In 2005, Esther was deeply immersed in her roles as an addictions & mental health clinician and a PT fitness model. A close friend made a simple & life changing comment: Esther, you need yoga. It was love at first sweat.

Quickly realizing the parallel paths of mental & physical healing that yoga offered, she attended her first Teacher Training in 2006 so that she could extend the same gift to her clients & patients.

During her training, she was told by a senior teacher: Your role as a teacher is to hold the highest, strongest vision of your students, until your students can hold THAT vision of themselves, for themselves”. (Laetitia Watts) - these words guide her teaching to this day.

Expect an energetic class with focus on precision, form & breath. Esther believes yoga is for every BODY & her classes reflect her belief. She encourages you to come into each class with an open heart and an open mind; expect to work hard and to be challenged; prepare to empower and heal yourself; and to have a few laughs. Yoga is a form of mental & physical hygiene - it's that simple & that powerful.

Esther feels blessed to witness students step on to their mats, step up to each challenge and into their full potential. She is inspired daily to witness their  metamorphosis ON their mats, and how it is echoed OFF their mats. Esther has a deep love & appreciation for the symbiotic relationship with the people she teaches: to learn, to be taught, to be inspired.

Off her mat & outside of the hot room, you will likely see her still sweating: hiking, beaching, frolicking in the ocean, playing with dogs & eating spicy food.

Karen Aney
Yin

Karen began her yoga journey in 2006 as a method of cross-training for her favourite sports as well as long-distance running. After two debilitating back injuries, she fell back in love with yoga and credits it with helping her to maintain a quality of life despite chronic pain and injuries that would otherwise keep her immobile.

She chose to train in the tradition that is closest to her heart, Yin Yoga and finds tremendous joy in sharing its healing powers with those around her. When she isn’t at the studio, you can find her working one of her many other jobs, watching hockey, playing dodgeball, or reading a good book. She also loves to cook and loves sharing vegetarian or sugary treats with her friends and family. Karen aims to provide a safe and encouraging space with gentle corrections and an opportunity for internal exploration in her classes.

Lynn Masuhara
Bikram, Express, Fusion, Pyropilates

After knee surgery, and one year of diligent physiotherapy, Lynn could not sit cross-legged comfortably and her mobility was compromised. Her physiotherapist said she was just going to have to live with it! A dear friend suggested she try Bikram yoga. Lynn remembers her first class vividly. She did not enjoy the heat and the sweating, and she wanted to escape. She persevered through, and several weeks later she noticed she could sit cross-legged comfortably! Over time other improvements were noted too: improved posture, better sleep, more energy, less stress. She soon realized this Bikram yoga was a REALLY good thing!

After 2 ½ years of practice, she decided to go to the teacher training in Spring 2012 so she could help others obtain the amazing benefits too. She enjoys seeing new students get excited about this yoga and gets inspired by the determination of the regular students.

Outside of yoga, Lynn enjoys cycling, gardening, travelling and is slowly getting back to her original exercise - running - thanks to yoga!

Lynn loves to share her enthusiasm for yoga in her classes. She provides clear dialogue and a gentle encouraging tone for her students. Lynn encourages you to try all the classes we offer and hopes you enjoy her music selections!

On the encouragement of her husband, Marie joined Yoga 360 on January 17, 2011, with a two week into. After that was completed, she dove in headfirst into a 30-day (all 90-minute classes) challenge. Challenges are said to change you and at the end of the 30 days, Marie knew she wanted to become a teacher. She completed her Bikram teacher training in the Spring of 2013 and after teaching at our studios for 2 years, briefly moved to Halifax, NS where she taught for two years until she came back ‘home’ to Yoga 360.

Growing up in rural Newfoundland Marie’s teachers often asked if she was solar-powered because of her energy, earning her nicknames like ‘Energizer Bunny’ & ‘Fireball’. When you take that and combine it with someone whose number one job is being a mom, you get a class that is full of energy, laughter, a funny accent at times, and the most love and compassion possible all while you naturally put in 110%.

You can expect to be challenged in Stefanie's classes, but also to have fun. She teaches with joy in her heart and loves to laugh.

Stephen Wong
Bikram, Express

Stephen is very passionate about his students. As a native Virgo, you can expect Stephen to be very detail-oriented. He is a firm believer in building a strong foundation and values the importance of keeping a good balance between effort and ease when practicing. He will never rush you to do anything but when you are ready to move on to the next phase, he will definitely encourage you to leap forward.

Stephen is a wedding photographer and don’t be surprised if you bump into him at the next wedding you attend. Besides yoga, he enjoys swimming and skates skiing.

You will enjoy his where-is-that-coming-from sense of humor in his classes. He is a bit quiet only when his boss is taking his class. Stephen is looking forward to seeing you all in class.
