In 2011, after practicing yin yoga a few times, she loved the balance that this practice gives in relation to other styles of yoga that she went to Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Bernie Clarks at Semperviva yoga school in Vancouver.
In 2015, she decided to continue her yoga journey in Goa, India, to complete her 500 hour yoga teacher training. There’s so much to learn and to grow. She’s always a student of yoga, enjoying practising variety style of yoga and honoured to share with others. She believes that Yoga practice is to learn to listen to the body. The focused stillness of yoga opens a space for us to appreciate the true nature of our mind. When our capacity to listen is at its greatest and most refined, we can listen directly to our soul and seek it’s constant guidance.
Denine took her first Bikram Yoga class in 2008 and knew instantly that she had found something special.
Previously, she had worked out in gyms, taken group fitness classes, tried other yogas, and even run a couple of half marathons but had never found anything that intrigued and challenged her like this class. She was almost instantly hooked and couldn't wait to get back in the hot room as soon as possible. Nothing had exhausted Denine like this yet energized her at the same time. Soon she saw other side effects: 20 pounds melted off in 2 months, she slept very deeply, and seemed to need less sleep. She began to crave healthier foods, less junk and more water..... lots of water ...
Most importantly, beside all the health benefits, is the deep feeling of relaxation you feel after the class. The cleansing of the mind and body.
It seemed a natural step to share her love of the yoga by becoming a teacher in Spring 2011. Denine continues to learn more about her own practice through teaching and hopes to share her love of Bikram Yoga with everyone. How this yoga can change your body, your mind, and your life is amazing. She loves seeing her students’ bodies change and the joy on their faces as they achieve great strides in the hot room. Denine is inspired everyday by each and every student and so grateful for this life she is living.

Candice loves interacting with all students and is very grateful for the opportunity to share yoga in all communities. She enjoys getting to know everyone so make sure to say hi and introduce yourself!
Candice’s classes are all about balance. She has a strong focus on alignment and discipline. She pushes her students to do their best but is also very encouraging. Her discipline will keep you working hard in class and seeing the benefits afterwards. Candice’s yoga tips are: breathe and have fun everything else is optional, everyday is different so let go of your expectations and judgements, experiment and get to know yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.
